Ronnie Broit

Ronnie is one of the three partners in the practice, and specialises in police station advice.

He is the director of our police station practice and as such organises all the police station attendances for our clients. In this role, he makes himself accessible and available to those in difficulties and will ensure that they are represented promptly and with. He is the first point of contact for many of our clients, and will advise and assist many of them himself.

He has advised on high profile murders, frauds, drug cases road traffic and domestic incidents amongst the thousands of police station interviews he has conducted.

Ronnie joined Renshaw Derrick in 2002, and became an accredited police station representative in 2004. As an integral part of the firm, he became a partner in 2017. Our clients value Ronnie’s expertise, discretion and judgment. His commitment to the clients of Renshaw Derrick is renowned.

The firm’s strategy and organisation for police station interviews in Bournemouth and Dorset is based around Ronnie’s contribution, and the team of reliable and experienced advisers and representatives that he commands.

Ronnie has particular expertise in advising and assisting those suspects and defendants with special needs, in particular autism and Asperger's Syndrome.

Ronnie works closely with Dwayne Lewis in order to ensure continuity and a collaborative approach on strategy, and liaises closely with our Magistrates’ Court team and Crown Court Counsel to effect a smooth transition in the defence of custody cases, if required.
